We are looking for a GIS Developer for one of our most prestigious clients, an international research center based in Italy.

The successful candidate will work on a project that shall support the implementation process of the Water Frame Directive by assisting in setting up scenario simulations on water quantity and water quality, executing the scenario runs, and analyzing and post-processing the results for further analysis and use by other model groups. Statistical analysis and graphical presentation of these data are part of the work. These analyses of the data must be well documented by scientific/technical reports as well.


  • Good experience with spatial data processing (ArcGIS and/or SQL/Python/R), especially on large spatio-temporal datasets;
  • Good capacity in spatial visualization (ArcGIS and/or SQL/Python/R);
  • Reasonable capability & understanding for the execution of hydrological models;
  • Reasonable capacity in statistical analyses using SQL/Python/R;
  • Very good capacity in preparing and writing technical documents in English;
  • Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment, and the ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings is requested.
  • Specific expertise: Good experience in spatial data processing and analysis

We offer an initial contract of 12 months and a salary commensurate to the professional background.
