Systems Engineer at Piksel

We’re currently looking for a Systems Engineer with a range of experience in supporting diverse infrastructures, to be based in our York office.

You’ll be keen and enthusiastic, with a broad understanding of enterprise infrastructure and application architecture, as well as being able to play a key part in supporting cutting edge technology solutions for our distinguished client list.

What we’ll need you to bring…

  • Scripting languages (Perl, Python, Bash, Ruby, Powershell)
  • Linux and Windows OS
  • Database platforms (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL)
  • TCP/IP network administration
  • Load balancing and caching technologies and solutions (Stingray, HA Proxy)
  • High availability technologies
  • Storage solutions (EMC/NetApp/HP)
  • Middleware knowledge (Tomcat, Jetty, IIS)
  • Virtualisation, containersisation and cloud (VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, Docker, AWS, Azure)
  • Good communication skills
